Kind of both, really. But I lean more towards a saver. Unless if it's bills or groceries or loans, I try to keep most of my personal purchases under $100. Probably even under $50 if I've recently spent a lot on something.

I take a lot out for my 401k. But I spend the rest. I have no family or wife so that is awesome. I spend so much, every week is like Christmas.

Teach me your money saving techniques, o great money saving sensei. lol

Saver, without a doubt. I hate spending money on things I don't need. If I have doubts I'll dislike something, I'm not paying for it. I'm a poor Scrooge, let's say.

Oh boy. It really depends on the circumstances. Right now, I'm saving money so I can move to my new property later this year.

Ooooo! Is that a new solar telescope? I don't need it. I don't need it!

I only spend what I need to on a day to day living,  so I'm not so broke as ppl my age are.  I do plan to start saving for a new labtop which I need in the next month!

I'm definitely a saver, spend no money and work hard so I'm pretty much loaded. Yet nobody ever knows as I don't believe in bragging, I buy cheap clothes, keep my phones for many years and I work a lot on my own on my cars so I actually never spend any money on myself. While I could afford a house, I choose to live with my parents and saving money as I want to live frugally and not let money get to my head. Life should not be about money, so I save money and if I do need to I could buy a house preferably with a garage when that time comes where I live with someone I love and get married. Therefore eventually I'll be a spender when I buy a home that is.

I save most of the money I make, though I have splurged on things now and then.

I’m I mix of both.  I have a couple investments and a 401K and I go through saving binges.

But then sometimes I go through binges where I’m like “Well I‘m gonna die one day anyway so spend spend spend”

Because of my tight budget, I do a lot of couponing which saves me a lot of money in the end. I also buy some movies 2nd hand or wait for the big sales like black friday. I never purchase them on release date anymore. I try to balance what I need and will enjoy versus what I just want to have at the moment.

I used to spend more than I made most weeks. Years ago. Now I try to save more. I still treat myself and splurge now and then but I put more of my paycheck away every pay period than before. Especially in today’s climate, it’s important to keep buying but with the world how it is now it enables us to save more too. Basically this is the time to not stop buying, but put more aside than normal.

And that’s the bottom line, ‘cause Stone Cold said so!

I save save some, I spend some. So I do both. I try not to waste money on things I don't need/want but I also don't like to have money and not using it.

I have a bad habit of spending money on things I don't need, but I've been getting better about that in recent years.

I generally save, but when I spend I try to look for value which usually DOESN'T mean buying the cheapest thing. If you got something cheap, but it's crap, or breaks pretty quick, what value is that to you?

I usually save up (and may have to wait a bit doing this) and get middle to upper middle of the road stuff especially with anything electronics. I have no problem buying some better older used items in good condition to save money either.

A lot of times with buying the most expensive things, you're just getting ripped off so you can show off. ^_^ Paying that premium to show off just isn't something that matters to me.
