Worst part is that with no air conditioning it's completely unbearable to try to take a nap in the afternoon Plus the tin and cement roofs really encapsulate heat and make the rooms feel like saunas

It's a heat wave over here right now. It' been a 80 degrees or higher for a while with considerable humidity.

Beautiful! A light breeze, low humidity, a little hot, but not too much so.

 

I just can't go anywhere because the night before a massive storm from the pits of hell came with winds whipping around at 90 miles an hour, so fast that it ripped a million trees in half, scattering them in the roads, crushing people, houses, cars, and powerlines. Power is down in the entire town, stop lights aren't working, people are getting in accidents because the stop lights aren't working,and live wires are down and in the streets. I was driving home and a transformer blew up and showed sparks down on my car while I had my 3 siblings in the car (1 9 year old, twin 10 year olds) while trees fell down. The wind was so bad that it was pushing my car, and I couldn't get into my neighborhood because the path was blocked! I had to go up the wrong side of the road to get home, all while trees were falling and crushing my neighbors houses.

What I love about Irish summers is it's optimal temperature range. Its warm, but not humid, with a spot of cloud cover every once in a while to cool it off. Basically my favorite weather.

In my little area of New York, the weather is both everyone's best friend and worst enemy. It has gotten us many days off from school but also has knocked over a few trees and almost flood our houses every year. I continue to live here because I love yet hate it.
