What time period would you like to live in best?

Got this idea from #1 Flutterfan's topic on Time Travel (hope you don't mind :S). If you could live at any point in time, which year(s) or decade(s), etc would you like to live in? For me, it would probably be early - mid 1900s. Maybe 1930s-50s 'cause you go everywhere looking jazzy! x'D

1950's. WWII was over. the economy was booming. Rock was classic. and land was cheap. The greatest generation was busy raising families. Cheap monster movies were the craze and every town had a drive in theater. Of course I'd bring a few luxuries from the future, but most everything I needed would be right there.

The 1970s.

All the music I like such as Chic, Boney M, Roy Ayres and all the Disco, Funk and Jazz-Funk I could want was around then, I like the thought of being able to walk into a high street shop and it just be full of vinyl and being able to instantly pick up the kind of records that are harder to come by these days.

The cars I love such as Reliant Scimitar GTEs, Ford Capris, Jensen Interceptors, Bond Bugs, Ford Cortinas, Rover SD1.

Fashions, flares were just cool, I love those big glasses

Those cool shaped telephones, that cool furniture, the Raleigh Chopper which used to be made in my hometown of Nottingham

Would love to be in the Old West Era. After the Civil War.

Or maybe post Revolutionary War America, go out and explore the Smoky Mountains, map out Tennessee. It would be glorious.

I'd go back to the 1990's. Yeah, going waaaayyyyyy back, don't you think?

But it's because the way I see it, I was born a 90's kid. If I were to travel back in time, I would feel so out of place. True, I love some of the stuff from the 60's to early 70's, but I wouldn't feel right at home. For a casual visit, it'll probably be interesting to see for like a couple of hours, but then eventually, I would wanna go back to my roots. :P

The Crusades, Old West, 14th-18th centuries (The Renaissance/American Revolution/Victorian Era), or 1950's.

Things just were so interesting in these periods of time, a lot of big changes and advances developed in these times. Everyone did their own work and were not addicted to tv or sitting around on facebook. The Old West and '50s would be fun, but I would probably fit in better during the 14th-18th centuries (Revolutionary times being my top choice I suppose). I've often wished I could just grab some money and pop back in time, even if I had to stay there, modern times aggravate me too much anymore. Giving up the tech would be rough at first, but I would bet I'd get over it fairly quick once I found my place in the past.

The 90's or early 00's

Because that was my childhood and i'd do anything to go back to those years. All the good things like cartoons and games were just so fun and a hell a fun to play and watch. Compared to today s its just a nostalgic memory that i wish i could re-live.

(And im not even old yet lol)

Despite me liking medieval periods quite a lot, I would not exchange this period for anything.

Even though there are numerous problems, both economical and political (or both in one. cough*eu*cough)

we're also living in a great age :) The IT technologies are developing faster than ever before, we have

the Internet, you can acces most of information extremely quickly, my country is no longer part of the socialistic block...

And, of course, there are Bronies ;3

I would say this period. While the economy isn't as good and people's attentions are ever attached to their phones, we live in an interesting time period.

Modern medicine has extended our life span greatly and the march of progress moves ever forward. Our technological capabilities keep growing at what appears to be an exponential rate, our machines becoming ever more complex and capable. What was thought to be impossible a mere 10 years ago is now flooding the consumer market.

I am very interested in where all this will lead us and I wouldn't want to live in any other time. Also most the other ones are ruled out because of tyranny, war, horrifying diseases, great economic turmoil, etc

I want to live 200 years in the future where either:

A: Our technology has evolved to a point that space travel is now quick and easy to do. Earth now is part of a giant human Solar empire, which is part of an even greater social system comprised out of several different alien species and alien empires.

B: Earth is now a nuclear wasteland. Without any structure, the wastelands are in constant chaos and fighting. It's time for somebody to take charge of these wastelands. Somebody like... Me.

I would prefer to just stay here. :P Because of the fact that is ponies.

Maybe last year would be fine too. But it doesn't matter too much.

I don't want to go any further back. I can not stand the thought of living in any less progressive times. Visiting them would be neat, though.

So for me, I have to say in the future! In a post-Christian (as in a time where it is generally seen the same way as society currently sees ancient Pagan mythology) time. Oh, and hopefully we'd have hover cars! xD Not counting on that second one, but it might be cool.

I would love to live in the 1950' s. It seemed like a very peaceful time and I have always wanted to try an actual 1950' s diner burger.I also could introduce next technology ideas to the people of America early.

I am honestly not sure,

I wouldn't mind living in the seventies or eighties

That seemed to be quite the time to have fun and be yourself without consistantly worrying about what others thought of you...

I could be wrong though

For me, it's definitely the the Dark ages (England). No one controlled the country, one town could be roman,  another Saxon. I love History and it would be perfect.

Definitely the 1990's. The Internet was just starting, 9/11 hadn't happened yet. I only got to experience 2 years of the 90's, which I don't even remember, since I was 2 when they ended.

I would go to the future, about 5,000 years as then we will probably have the technology to have a time machine.  Once staying and learning in the future for awhile, I would return to this time period and try to prevent any bad things from happening, as I learned in the future.

Yeah no sorry folks but the future's probably gonna be better. We will have better graphics on our video games and TVs and internets! We will have houses that are made of plastic and can transform into cars! We will live in a world where human chefs are unrealistic because we would have robot loli slaves doing all the food science for us! We will live in a world where bronies will have finally shut up about alicorn Twilight and we have multiple fan made episodes, the best of which being where Derpy accidentally crucifies herself and calls upon the muffin goddess to save her but ends up somehow crucifying herself as well.

Either that or we will be living in a hellish dystopia with humanity wiped out due to nuclear war. Still cooler than where we are right now.

I'm actually fine with living in the time I live in now. I'd probably not feel very comfortable in another time period. Maybe slightly earlier.

Oh man! I would love to go back when Rock and Roll was Rock and Roll. Maybe the early 60's when the Beatles were out? They are so much better than half the music out today (there is still some great music today though).

This is a simple choice, I would choose the period of muscle cars. The muscle cars era was the best there is. I'm talking about late 1960s to 1970s. If I could get back in time I would buy a Dodge Challenger 1970 RT. I would just love to burn some rubber in that car.

The 1970s, everything was better, the music and especially the cars. Look at the beauties in the spoiler, if you don't agree with me, then I don't know what to say.
