    One of them is in The Return of Harmony when Twilight gives up after her friends have all been corrupted. Oh and the Sombra world from the The Cutie Re-mark hit me quite hard.

    The CMC aren't actually friends with the mane six in the same way as they are with each other, so you have actually provided another good example. Think about it this way. If you are in your twenties you may well get on very well with someone in their fifties, or with a ten year old, but it's unlikely they would hang out in your friendship circle or go on a night out with you for instance.

    The thing about Spike is he's a different age, gender and species to the mane six, so he will never identify with them in the same way they do with each other. That doesn't he's not friends with them, he just can't be friends in the same way or on the same level.

    I suspect I would get tired of Pinkie Pie's antics very quickly if I had to live with them every second of every day. Pinkie is best handled in small doses.

    It's more a case that people are demanding more from the show because of its past reputation. If you look back to season one, it was not a golden era by any standards; the episodes were as hit and miss as they are now, only then people had no preconceived expectations other than "it's a dumb kids show with ponies", which accentuated the positive.It's only natural to be less forgiving of poor episodes when they are riding on the back of five (generally) good quality seasons, but no, the show has not entered seasonal rot.

    Those who are saying that the censorship of the Derpy scene was somehow offensive to the disabled are missing the point. The reason why the original scene was censored is because it was offensive. Okay it doesn't bother me personally but that doesn't mean it is not offensive to others. I mean come on, it basically ridicules and makes fun of Derpy for being clumsy/stupid. Were they right to censor it? If I'm honest, I couldn't care less if both versions of the scene were removed from the episode entirely. It adds nothing to the story and is not even remotely funny.

    The problem with any episode revolving Marble or Limestone Pie is that they were never meant to sustain an episode because they are not fully formed characters. The writers needed to fill in the background of the conflict they'd set up between the Apple family and the Pie family so they created stock angry pony and stock shy pony. Their characters could potentially be expanded upon but as it is there is very little to work with.

    You don't need background music. Background music doesn't do any harm but it is far from a necessity. The main problem as far as I can tell is the audio is too low. Even with my computer volume turned up to full it is still really quiet.

    I do enjoy watching your analysis. As for my favourite though, I'd probably have to go with either Lily Peet or Tyandaga.

    If your heart starts pounding whenever you're with non-brony friends and they mention something MLP related (don't get excited, just look straight ahead, keep a straight face...)

    While I'm not bothered what people think of me for liking My Little Pony (since anyone with any intelligence can see how pathetically shallow it is to judge someone negatively based on that), I am highly conscious of introducing ponies where they are not needed or wanted. So I won't ever wear pony merch if I'm hanging out with non-brony friends but I'm perfectly fine with them seeing my posters and plushes etc. if they come to my house, since that is my space and so it reflects my personal interests.

    Some personal favourites of mine: Suzuka - Love all the twists and turns, great to drive in games as well as to watch Spa-Francorchamps - It's lost a lot of its character over the years but still a classic Red Bull Ring/A1 Ring/Osterreichring - I like it mainly because of its elevation. Back in the '80s it used to be a super fast sweeping track with banked corners as well! Monza - So much history Circuit Gilles Villeneuve/Montreal - Always seems to produce great racing, plus I like the idea of a track built on a man-made island Silverstone - Again, so much history! There are a few other good British tracks (where I'm from) like Brands Hatch, Oulton Park and Snetterton as well

    I can definitely do reactions for the premiere but I don't know if I'll be able to record anything before then

    Well firstly, I'd be most concerned about why I can remember something that apparently does not exist. Other than that my life, or my life outside of ponies (yes I have one!), would go on as normal, although I'd be annoyed that the work I put into the fandom was all for nothing.

    Race/species is only one tiny aspect of what makes an original character. Still part of the reason my ponysona is an earth pony is that it is the most underused of the three pony races. It also symbolises how you can't get everything you want in life, because Midnight would love to experience flying or doing magic and obviously he can't, but that's okay. I have made other OCs that are pegasi/unicorns.

    How good or bad the character is within the universe is irrelevant really. We're talking about how well they work as a foil to Twilight from an entertainment point of view. A villainous character can still be entertaining.

    I have two channels, one of which is my pony channel where I've started an analysis series called Under the Lamp.
