It's actually a combination out of these three. I try to think towards a decision as close as possible. In case I'm lacking information for a informed decision and I cannot get them in time I use instinct. My heart goes either way always hand in hand with my Head and/or Heart

With difficulty. Making my mind is complicated due to the many ramifications to every action, and because there is a lot of aspects and consequences to consider. Especially because of the rest of the people engaged in this "conflict of interest" regarding my family, is playing a very advanced chess match against each other. And they have no regards for life, whatsoever. Not only that, they are very sophisticated in this process of deceit and manipulation of the legal system. I do not believe most people have an idea of the things that money can buy you in this kind of world. All for more power.
In this regard, they deserve my recognition. Mind you, most of what they do never works in the end. And it has affected the way I see this plane of reality, unfortunately. I perceive a meassure of self-interest behind the actions of each living creature, and the possibility to exploit the inherent nature of this instinctual response. So, I have become incredibly distrustful in general.
Regardless, I still conserve my moral compass. It is not even a morality system. It may be inherent to my anture, I am not sure. But wherever I have the chance to harm or exploit someone else. To take everything from an innocent fool. People that blindly put their trust in me, opening themselves up. There is something inside my gut screaming, "C'mon, do it, do it, do it!" But there is also something closer to the center within myself stopping me. A sudden surge of compassion, if you can call it that. "No, that is wrong". So, maybe there is a little more to me, still. Mind you, I always end up suffering because of my self-restraint. So many possibilities just gone, that I believe I am the only fool in the end.
But despite of all the negative behaviours I've learned from these sophisticated social predators and this self-interested system, I am still here. Which is not the case for most of these people, whose eyes look empty and erratic, like an animal who is expecting danger from every direction. Constantly in a state of persecution and survival. An animalistic semblance to their gaze. They have lost something.

Usually I think about it for a few hours, realise it’s gotten too late to do anything and go to sleep.

I would elevate the situation and come up with a possible outcome while also thinking the pro and cons of that decision. If I see the risk is moderate or low then the decision is good to proceed. Sometime you have to gamble.  I usually plan and map things out before making the decision. However if something requires “flight or fight” I will automatically choose “flight”. Unless I’m being confronted.
