Meh. From what I know, the Mayas believed that the time continues in certain cycles, each of them leading to certain improvement of the humankind. I've read somewhere that they predicted a great improvement in ways to store knowledge towards the end of the cycle that ends on 21st (internet anyone ?).

Who knows. They may be right and something may change. I hope that the humankind will improve a bit, but they may be wrong of course

On December 22nd I totally plan on being banned from a certain forum I used to frequent. What I will do will be petty and immature and well beneath me but I simply cannot help myself. It's a massive forum revolving around conspiracies and the so-called "truth."

 

The reality of this forum is a bunch of tin-foil hat wearing people who don't leave their basement who will attach themselves to one shred of what they call evidence that has been disproved many times over and then call the skeptics closed-minded.

Although I knew this from old books and extensive studies, I guess the Internet is also a reliable source of information sometimes.

As you said, at 21st December 2012, the Humanity will have a somewhat "update", making the Human's intellectual development more advanced, like the Universe would give us a "hint" about what we are doing here. The Human race will enter it's golden age, which our economy will grow more prosperous and stable. The only thing that is going to end when 21/12/12 comes will be our kind's Dogmatic capability beeing reduced.

 

And that is the point of view the Mayans had.

And now my prophecy to our end:

 

Lauren Faust quits her job making millions of bronies into the edge of depression.

Then a robot version of Lauren Faust is created by mad brony scientists.

Yeah, 2012 Dec. 21st? This might become a terrible day just because of how many people are hyped about it, and how many apocalypse believers will be committing their 'last minute crimes'... I constantly look out my window for suspicious people, in case if they plan on murdering everyone.
