How do you wait for a new episode?

I usually spend the week after an episode airs analyzing it and re watching it, basically trying to be come an expert of it.

Then when the new episode airs I do the same thing after.

 

But I also am on here a lot discussing things, preparing my Brony-Con cosplay, and catching up with my games.

I try to avoid as much info about the episode as i possibly can, because if i even so much as hear MENTION of a spoiler, i'll go on a spoiler binge. i have no self control, ya know.

even now, i'm on an adventure time spoiler binge for the new episode tomorrow, plus nostalgia critic's reaction to a certain important episode O.O

I don't like spoilers because i can't handle the anticipation. Anticipation ruins my life, it distracts me from more important things, makes me feel antsy, and makes itself feel longer.

As long as i am unaware of what episode is coming, i'm okay and just go on with life. Until of course, i set my TV to record it and i catch a glimpse of the title and synopsis. Then i freak out (unless the episode sounds lame)

Monday and tuesday: do editing and video games.

Wednesday : All shonnen jump manga come out.

thursday: Practice music/editing.

Friday: Fairy Tail + Kill La Kill

Saturday: MLP

Sunday: Chores+ anime

I completely forget about it until someone on like Friday says "HEY ROCKY, ARE YOU WATCHING THE NEW EPISODE TOMORROW?" to which I reply: "Oh shit, we have an episode coming out tomorrow, don't we?" The next day, someone adds "SO ROCKY, DID YOU WATCH THE NEW EPISODE YET?" and to that I reply "Oh shit, an episode came out this morning, didn't it?"

 

Long story short, I like the episodes, but I don't exactly lose sleep over them.

Uh, well, I just kind of, you know, live life? I don't really anticipate new episodes as much as I used to anymore. Maybe I'm losing interest, I'm not sure. It basically just turns Saturday and I'm like "Oh, new episode. I should watch this within the next day or so". Sometimes I'll watch the episode live if I can.

Sitting on a closed laptop isn't really painful, but the problem is that it damages them and you may have to buy a new one. Desktops, however...

I just do things to take my mind away from ponies, get me distracted and not thinking about them.

Watching TV, video games, home work, talking with friends those seem to help me.

Though once Friday hits on a week we got an episode, I like can't keep my mind off the new episode, knowing it's sooo close.

I've grown to be a lot more patient when waiting for new episodes to the point where I don't really become too restless in anticipation for them. I think that waiting a week for a new episode isn't terribly long, and as long as I'm constantly doing something in my life, I don't think about the upcoming episodes all that much. There are times where I need a pony fix though, and when that happens, I either watch older episodes or I hop onto my favorite MLP forum and see what's cooking.

It sounds counterintuitive, but quite often I'm too preoccupied with other things, namely school so I'm too busy to actually "wait."

 

Also I've found reverse psychology can work wonders. Though its good to have high expectations low expectations at times also help. I actually came into Season 4 at best uncertain and skeptical, especially with Alicorn Twilight. Once I watched the 2 part opener though, I was not only surprised at the quality overall but my expectations were far surpassed.
