Words you cannot pronounce properly?

Recommended Posts

I can say pretty much anything If I try really hard.

"Specific" is hard for me.

I apparently have a bad southern accent when I say "Why?" and "No"

can't think of anything else now lol

I cannot pronounce any of those UK counties names:

Hampshire
Wiltshire
Shropshire
Cheshire

It seems you need to be a TV presenter of Top Gear to be able to pronounce those correctly.

Spoiler

EDIT: I would pay money for @Treeglow Flicker to voice record her saying those

It's taken me a while to realise that debut is pronounced "day-byu" and not "deh-but". Actually, most French-originating words with a silent T always seem to confuse me a bit.

Words with As that look like they can be pronounced long or short (“tobacco” vs. “Iran”). I’ll know how to say them in my head, but if it’s been years since I last said the words, I’ll mess up.

If I'm tired, I CANNOT say "radiator" no matter how hard I try. It always comes out as either "raydidator" or "radior"! :ButtercupLaugh:

"Bonjour".

Technically I can pronounce it, but I said it the wrong way in front of my Canadian friend and it's been a running joke since then.

I don't think I have problems pronouncing any word, except maybe for those which are long and complicated.

Lol, English is my second language!:D
