Welcome to the MLP Forums April 2024 Visual Art contest
Visual Art contests will start every other month. In some months there may be a theme, and that may be a character, a general emotion, holiday, or prompt.
The theme for this month is:
Pets!
Requirements
Create artwork focusing on the official pet(s) of any canon characters (no OC's!) in the franchise (any generation allowed)
Canon characters may be in the artwork too, but the main focus should be on the pet(s)
When submitting, please say which pet(s) are represented so we can confirm they are official pet(s) of characters
All members of MLPF are eligible including staff
No AI art will be accepted, however it can be used for initial inspiration
Deadline
Submissions will close on April 25th, 2024.
Judging
Voting will be open from April 26th - 30th, 2024. Afterwards, voting will be finalized and results will be posted as soon as we are able to share them.
Winners
Winners will be granted the Canterlot Artist Rank and Badge. All entries will be eligible to receive an Art Achievement Bronze Badge. Future participation will count toward Silver and Gold Art Badges.

Yes, a tourist trap is a place where you'll be disappointed. But, it's also not necessarily a place that one person may not personally enjoy for themselves. It's a little difficult to explain this point, which is why you need to think like Flim and Flam, in a way. Take the episode where Applejack had to defend her family's apple cider and farm from Flim and Flam. The cider made by AJ and her family attracts long lines and the show implies that it happens every year. Their farm during that time of year would arguably be a tourist destination for any ponies visiting due to their long history and tasty cider. But, let's say for a moment that Flim and Flam were able to set up shop not far from AJ permanently. Knowing them, they would use a similar name with their cider machine and make it very gimmicky, just to attract clueless people towards them instead. That's a tourist trap, at least in my book it is. -

The last meal I have in mind for all three consists of childhood favorites with maybe one or two exceptions. Breakfast - Bowl of cheerios with banana slices and sprinkled with sugar, my egg in a frame French toast made with potato wheat bread, and sides of regular toast, a scrambled egg, a breakfast sausage patty, 2 slices of thick though crispy bacon, and glass of orange juice. Lunch - Albertson's fried chicken, French bread with butter, raspberries, sour cream and onion lays potato chips, sprite, a PB&J made with Bonne Maman Raspberry Fruit Preserves and Creamy Peanut Butter, also on potato wheat bread, with a tall glass of 2% milk and some strawberry shortcake. Dinner - Kraft Macaroni and Cheese with fried hot dogs, Dino Nuggets, applesauce, grilled cheese sandwich, a glass each of regular and chocolate milk, and some devil's food cake. The only things missing is a Ribeye steak and Chocolate Mousse. It's a lot of food, but I've got room.

hey guys. just dropped by to say hello ^w^ if you wanna know what I've been up to, I've been watching the Eurovision song contest and I'm happy that Croatia managed to get into the final. (I am half croatian from my dads side) I am not surprised Australia failed to qualify. I watched the music video BEFORE I watched the first semi final and I knew it was gonna be shit compared to last years performance. so yeah, I'm not surprised that they failed to qualify. A LOT of people have been saying Croatia are the favourites to win this years eurovision song contest. I hope they win. that'd be AMAZING!!!· 0 replies
I also liked Finland's performance. if you take away the performance and just listen to the music, it's eurobeat, which is MY kind of music. Ireland's entry was f**ed up. it's definitely the weirdest entry so far. XD but yeah, nah. I'm having an absolute blast watching this years eurovision song contest ^^
this month is also the anniversary of my OC. man, I cant believe it's been 8 years since I made my OC. that is incredible. ^w^
...and last but not least, I only recently got access to Formula 1 and I've watched some of the races this year. I'm sure @Deae Rising Shine~ and @Tacodidra will be delighted to hear about this. maybe you guys can tell me some of the other stand-out events other than the monaco grand prix. ^^ I can't wait for the Monaco Grand prix. I know that is a really popular event and that is the biggest event on the F1 calendar. This will be my first time watching the Monaco Grand Prix. If ya wanna know who is my favourite driver? well...it's Oscar Piastri simply cuz he's the leading Aussie. I'm still waiting for Oscar Piastri to win his first grand prix ^^ Whoever's driving for Ford next year, I will support them as well.
