  1. I'm backing this theory. It wouldn't surprise me if her brother was partly responsible for Fluttershy's social anxiety and timidity. He could quickly become Brony enemy #1 if this is the case. Depending on his age and the context of his entry into the show Flutterbrother could possibly fulfill this role. Assholes can still be interesting characters of they're given enough exposure and motive. But Grogar could work too and he's the most likely old villain to return, certainly more than King Charlatan or Lavan.
  2. Well Maud hasn't disappointed me yet. One thing that irks me about the synopsis is the fact that there's no mention of Limestone or Marble. Where are their gifts? Do they give to each other or is this something just between Pinkie and Maud? I think the message of the episode will be that giving to your friends doesn't have to mean sacrificing parts of yourself. The thought counts more than the price tag.
  3. One idea I've had is Luna helping Celestia in one of her dreams. A nightmare perhaps were Celestia fears she's becoming obsolete in Equestria and no longer needed or wanted. After having ruled Equestria for so long and now having so many other princesses by her side she subconsciously feels threatened in some sense and afraid of losing them like she did Luna a thousand years ago. Luna helps assure her that this is not the case and that she's here to stay. Something cheesy like that.
  4. They need to be careful about how much exposure he is given and the way he is portrayed. He's no longer a villain but that doesn't mean he has to lose all of his edge and become the 'Happy little Draconequus who flies around spreading smiles and merriment to all the ponies wherever he goes!'. Ugh.
  5. Deers. I want to see the deers. Merponies as well. Also, some sort of episode that involves the family members of the Mane 6 and their interactions. Shining Armor and Big Mac, Maud Pie and Sweetie Belle, Starlight Velvet and Granny Smith, all of these characters meeting each other would be interesting to see.
  6. Showing the premiere in March and launching the rest of the season in May... That would be quite the hiatus for two episodes and basically amount to a glorified toy commercial before the real season begins. Unless this season's premiere has some real bearing on the show's progression which I'm hesitant to agree with. The last two were released in September, near the mid-season hiatus. so that would be my guess. I'm sure they wouldn't want to interfere with the masterpiece that is sure to be Equestria Girls 4.
  7. I'd go see it. Just to experience the horror and outrage that would ensue in the Brony audience. 'The 2017 Brony Riots'. Yeah, that would be neat to see.
  8. It's been shown in season 5 that a pony's cutie mark can be magically removed so it's reasonable to assume that another cutie mark could be put in its place using the same method. I'm not sure how well this would work out for the ponies involved, if they would adapt, or if it would affect their 'destiny' but it's one way of attempting it. In terms of a pony changing their own mark I don't think this is likely. It would nullify much of the significance of attaining and having a cutie mark in the first place. We know that the meaning of a cutie mark isn't always clear when it first appears and can be interpreted in many ways depending on the pony and your point of view. Again, unless we're talking about the use of magic or perhaps some very unusual circumstances such as a curse or cosmic event it doesn't seem likely to me.
  9. Tommy Oliver(yeah I know) and Drowning in Horseshoes were both pretty awesome when they were still in the fandom. I recommend you check out Drowning's Applejack character analysis; it's one of the best. Be advised though, his channel is targeted towards older audiences with some language and crude humor.
  10. Colta Rica. Sumare. (Sumer) Equestrian Sumarea. (American Samoa) Haymare Islands. (Cayman Islands) The Romare Empire. Trotland or Gotland(an actual type of pony).. Republic of Shireland. The Bermareda Triangle. Pegaguay. Uniguay. Earthcuador. Salt Lice City: 'Come for the salt, leave for the Lice.'
  11. I don't own any pony clothing nor do I intend to. I don't feel any need to broadcast my interest in a cartoon show or set myself up for social scrutiny for the sake of 'expressing myself'. Speaking of which I find that to be a weak reason in itself. If you think wearing clothing produced in some sweatshop by a multinational company is genuine self-expression then your idea of the term is pretty cheap in my opinion.
  12. Yes, but the way any individual is treated depends on how they behave. If they're a douche, they're a douche. Pony or human. I'm not going to give preferential treatment to a pony.
  13. This manner of hooliganism takes 'running roughshod' to a whole new level. I am afraid I must voice my dissent. We cannot claim to be better than animals while acting like monsters. I can however see this as a possible ploy for an Equestria Girls movie. Not in terms of nations, and certainly not involving genocide and massive warfare but perhaps a small group of humans seeking to exploit the portal to Equestria for their own gain. It could be interesting if they were able to harness magic in the same way Twilight did in Friendship Games.
  14. I don't believe in the ponies as a religion but I do believe that MLP can affect real change in the world, at least for some people. I know the show is fictional of course but it's a product of our world and the ideas and beliefs projected onto and through it still have a bearing on those who experience it. So, I suppose I believe in ponies in that sense.
  15. Very well done film. It explored concepts that hadn't yet made it to the big screen and I enjoyed the world building and character development that was put into this 'kids movie'. I'm glad I went to see it instead of 'London is Falling'.
  16. 'It is what it is.' This statement us the equivalent of saying red is red or some other pointless axiom with no further value. It essentially amounts to saying 'Deal with it' and 'I'm not going to try and change it'. Yes it's important to understand the circumstances you are in and even accept that some things may never change, but nothing is less useful than this trite expression.
  17. I was eating a cookie. Double chocolate chip.
  18. What's done is done. There's no use launching criticism when we haven't even seen the whole picture yet. Any complaints are just superficial and uninformed right now. The show would never go in such a direction(at least I hope not). It sounds like bad fan fiction. Having FH be a changeling means that either Chrysalis is the 'father' or that she somehow managed to switch the baby with one of her changelings immediately after birth. One is waaaay to risqué and the other just implausible and repetitive from season 2. Being an ancient deity makes no real sense either unless you mean the new birth of an Alicorn unleashes some kind of ancient curse.
  19. 'That's a really cool story bro' is definitely how I would have replied a year ago. I think Inspiration Manifestation and Wonderbolts Academy both put emphasis on that idea fairly well.
  20. I've been a fan of this show long enough not to jump to conclusions too quickly or freak out over promotions and story arcs. I can think of a few better ways to start season six than this, but I understand the obligation the writers have to the almighty marketing division of Hasbro.
  21. It's an interesting and possibly very amusing prospect. Some of the above posts have mentioned episodes that could be interpreted as symbolically alluding to drug use, although I think the OP means a more direct reference to actual substances consumed with the intention of altering the users physical and mental state. If Hasbro permitted this I would presume it would need to be done in a very PG and toned down fashion while also being subtle in its approach to abuse and addiction. It's a very sensitive and controversial topic to put in place on a show with such a young target audience(even many bronies are still fairly young for the issue to have strong resonance with). Personally I'm not totally convinced it would be a great idea. Especially since themes of obsession, peer pressure, and self reliance have already been explored thoroughly.
  22. Tell her to leave me alone and let me finish my calculus equations.
  23. Just because you're not interested doesn't mean you have to trample on others. Don't be a douche. What would also be great is a 'The Trotting Dead' parody intro. It's a short one, just pictures of characters and desolate landscapes, so it probably wouldn't be too difficult to adapt to MLP. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=O8W9qr7DB-o
  24. I don't think the map is controlled by a daemon, a god, or Celestia. Or any sentient being/force for that matter. I view it as a manifestation of underlying destiny based on the magical harmony of the world the ponies live in. It is expressed in exactly the way it needs to be, where and when it needs to be. We already know destiny is a tangible concept in MLP so I can see this as an overarching providence meant to bring the Mane 6's fate to fruition.
  25. Great minds think alike. One thing I would add would be replacing the cuts to the tapestry that shows the animals of the great houses of Westoros and the preceding events with the crystallized events from Equestria's history under the tree. Namely, the rise of the two sisters, Luna's banishment and then finally the Remane 5 surrounding the ascension of Twilight Sparkle in a similar style to the stain glass in Celestia's castle.
