Who's voice do you hear when you read?

I hear a guff version of my voice, a woman version of my voice, a baby version of my voice, a heroic version of my voice, a villainous version my voice, a posh version of my voice, a dumb version of my voice, a British version of my voice, a southern version of my voice, a sexy version of my voice, a displeased version of my voice, beastly version of my voice, etc.

I should be a voice actor someday :orly:

My voice, unless it's a character or something.

I hear my own voice, albeit a very exaggerated version of it.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

Come to think of it I don’t really have a specific voice in my head when reading. Rather, it’s more of a sense of the story visualized and the words receding into an abstract thought while I disappear into the world they create. A lot of the time I read aloud to others and on those occasions I often speak each part in a character voice unique to that character, or in my own voice. But that’s more a matter of performing a book for rather than absorbing into it by myself.

When I read a text from a specific character (like in a comic for example) and I know how the character sounds, I read it in the voice of the character. But when I read a normal text or I don't know the voice, then I read it in my own inner voice.

I just hear my own voice. :) But using a different voice is actually a really cool idea! Never crossed my mind, haha.

...I just tried it, it's like the fictional voice and my own talk simultanously, it's difficult. :lie: I prefer tulpas, haha.

Depends on who is the one who wrote what I'm reading. If I haven't heard that person's voice before, then I'd probably read it in my own voice.
