Everyone has an accent, we just don't tend to notice it until we talk to someone who has a different accent to us. I'm English so I have an English accent, most of my friends say I speak 'posh'

I sometimes get sidetracked when speaking but only when talking for a long stretch of time, and u have no speech impediments :P

I have a northern american accent, but I speak like I am from the east coast. Which can cause conflict when saying words like "Ambulance". Fortunately I am taking a college level speech class that has really helped that. As for conversations, it really depends who I am with. Family members, I stay on topic. Friends, what are we talking about?

I have a bit of a Texan country accent considering I live in Texas, but to be honest it not that thick. But if you saw me in real life and don't live anywhere in Texas, you would probably notice the accent quickly.

Okay, I know a lot of people say they don't have an accent, but my mother, who has lived all around the US, had once told me that I actually do have a neutral American accent. And I've never really understood the term "newscaster accent", because they just sound normal to me. Being in a state with a lot of people moving there from across the country does that to you.

I used to be a stutterer. It's gotten better, but if I'm caught off guard I can still slip back into it sometimes.

I've lived in Australia since I was three, so I have a pretty strong Aussie accent. I also speak another language (I'm originally from Africa).

What language was it, out of curiosity? There are after all quite a variety of them in most continents. And how much of it do you still remember?

If you are American and clicked, "I have no accent." then you do have an accent. Its American Western Standard,

That is not the western you see in the movies (which is actually based on southern, y'all).

This not considered an accent because it is the accepted dialect of American Cinema and Hollywood. Most every personality on TV will be able to speak or affect this accent.

Bob Hoskins (famous as the detective in Roger Rabbit) was able to imitate this accent, even though he is Brittish. Its an accent people can study and learn.

My voice is strange. There was a time when I was bordering on obesity, but now I'm a pretty small guy. As I started losing weight my voice gradually went higher. It was much deeper when I was a teenager.

I have a southern drawl though. I'm getting good at eliminating it at will, but it's still difficult. I want to make a recording of some kind, maybe a shout out just so you all (y'all) can hear what I sound like. My microphone sucks but it'll get the job done. Stay tuned.

I'm Canadian, so I'm pretty much accent-less.

You probably speak with something similar to the midwestern American accent.

I chose other accent because I normally do not, but when I'm in a fight, my southern country accent comes out. I have no idea why, but it does. I am also one of those people who can have any accent they want at any moment. So yeah, I guess mine falls under the "other" category. :D

'How Do You Talk?'

You open your mouth and make noises that no one seems to hear.

Ha ha ha...

No, I usually change it up a bit, do some weird voice acting personas. My normal speaking voice is either a medium to deep American standard speaking voice.

Very awkwardly.

Some people would say I have a Southern (New Orleanian) accent, but some people, like my Senior Naval Science Instructor, have said that I don't have any kind of detectable accent. I can also produce several artificial accents, like Irish, Australian, country, and several regional British and Scottish accents

New Orleanian really isn't an accent. If there's any accent down here it's Cajun, and not that many people have it.

The only real discernible thing I hear in the way people talk around here is the usage of "Y'all." And it's doesn't even have that "southern drawl" sound to it, it's just "y'all" in the most plain voice ever.

Yup, I have an accent (Scottish), but even though this is an accent formed in Britain, I can't really say it's a 'British accent' due to the fact that people generally misconcept a London accent as this. Kinda embarrassing really.

I don't have any speech impediment; not any that I know of, at least.

As for conversations, I tend to mix around the topics a bit, although I talk a decent amount about one thing before doing changing topic.

I'm orignally from Ethiopia, so I speak a language called Oramou (Ethiopia has lots of languages, but Oramou is the official language). I can still speak it fluently, everyone in my family can speak it.

Everybody has an accent. Some are clearer and more "normal" than others, but each region of the world is unique. I don't have any speech impediments. I'm quite anti-social but conversing is something I'm good at, frankly.

People say i talk way too fast at times, i guess that's my "New York" accent(i am from New York after all XD),

Sometimes things sound weird if i talk too quickly(which is often lol). Other than that i think i sound pretty alright.

I suppose you could say I have a light British accent, but it really isn't that noticeable. I only notice it when I watch or listen to me talking back to myself. I've noticed that I can't seem to ever truly sound infuriated no matter how hard I try. My rage just sounds exasperated.

As for speech impediments, I don't have any as far as I know. I used to have the most difficult job pronouncing the words "world" and "yellow" when I was younger, heck, I still sometimes stumble on world. Such a weird word... world... world... the heck with it, I'll just go with "Earth" and call it a day!

Being from just outside of London in the countryside I have a very southern English accent, although I point blank refuse to say "init", "whatehvar or "yeah that's well sick!". My grandparents are pretty "posh" so I speak very similarly to them, especially when on the phone.

Sometimes I'll completely forget what word I'm trying to say and it seems like I'm stuttering which my friends find hilarious.

Yeah I have a weird accent, and a speach impediment (R's), but on the upside I can usually stay on-topic with the conversation, unless if Oh look! Bird!

I have no accent, but I can't normally say S's or R's right, plus the fact that I tend to stray off topic a lot. Maybe I should just stop talking.

What to pick, what to pick?! I speak Swedish :o

Is this poll only for people who speak english or what? ;_;

I guess I will have to pick other then.. Or.........?
