event Happy Birthday to MLPF and MLP:FiM

We are wrapping together our own Birthday Celebration (9 years) with the show's 10th anniversary. Holy crap .... 10 years! Most of our lives back then vs. today may look entirely different. I know mine does. The show and this community have impacted my life in more ways that I can fathom. It isn't a stretch to say that it may have even saved my life since a few of my friends here were there when I needed a friend the most. The final BronyCon was a critical point in my life, where I took the final step into closure and healing from two years of struggling with grief and pain. I'll make a proper lengthy tome later, but I want to know if and how this show and community has impacted you over the years. While you are thinking about that ... 

 

@Randimaxis has graciously taken it upon himself to get the some special videos to say how much the show has meant and even some shoutouts to this very place. More fun to come folks.

I've made many amazing friends on MLPF and MLP:FiM has helped cheer me up in some dark times!

All the hobbies I have is what MLP inspired me to try in one way or another. If not MLP and its community, I most likely would be only playing games in my free time.

It's a huge change in regards to how I spend my free time, but other than that, not much has changed, especially rl-wise.

If it weren't for Twilight Sparkle's reluctancy to make friends in Friendship is Magic I never would have decided to join MLPForums in the first place. 

I owe a lot to Friendship is Magic but the thing that I am most grateful for are the many amazing friendships that I have made during my time here.

Happy birthday MLP FIM and MLP Forums! I've met so many wonderful people through this website, in fact those I consider my best friends in the world. That wouldn't all be possible of course without MLP FIM! My life has changed a ton since I first got into pony way back in 2014, I've grown up with FIM and now, while MLP continues onto it's next chapter with G5, I continue on to my own next chapter in life. Thanks for always being there MLP. Thanks for introducing me to the most friendly and accepting fandom I know, and thank you MLP Forums for being a second home to so many of these awesome bronies and pegasisters. Here's to many more years to come!

The show help me finish my studies at school (Flutter Brutter) and made me more social. since I realized the lessons taught in the show don't just apply to children; they apply to anyone regardless of age.

This show has helped me come out of my shell after I was done with college since I really didn't have any friends to keep in touch with, and I would consider the fandom as my second family, even with its flaws if you were to dig deep.

The show really helped me to meet Countess Coloratura (Rara) to see what friendship could be! Now i made my very first friends of my life, the mane six! The MLP Forums will be always my second home, i made even more kind and friendly people to chat with!

I can't believe it will be soon my four years here and this one of the forum I had ever been active for such a long time! I can say that we do have some ups and downs here among each other's here. We laugh together, we argue, we cry, all the emotions we shared in one forum. And that to me is like a family. Sure we have problems here but we also have others to help us get through it and make it work again. In most forum I have been with I cannot take the people who are so toxics and rude to each others. This forum I've noticed does have issues, but at the end everyone comes to respect one another from one way or other.  We were able to tolerant and respect each other instead of putting other's down. I'll admit that I have come out rude or strong on some people here in the past. But as I see other's showing kindness it made me wanted to do the same. I appreciated all the time, fun, and patient, everyone has given me here and I will try to do the same here!

sometimes you have to pour your thoughts and the demons that haunt you, but you can't do it with family as some of them hit too close to home, that's where friends come in, and this place provided me with some of the best people and i am so glad to call them friends. you know who you are, thank you all

Ten years is quite the milestone and it's amazing to think that next year will mark a decade of this forum. The show has been a big part of my life for the last three years and so has this forum. Big Mac himself brought out Smarty Pants, so you know it's a special occasion.

In fact I found a really great story where we actually did manage to get a job working with manes as he has taken classes forvand it's far away from home so he won't be able to mooch off his parents. other than his appearance in the 200th episode we don't really see much of his life after that episode so I like to imagine that that is his new lifestyle.

It has been nine and ten years that's awesome having been here since the early days of both the fandom and the forums I have to say it's pretty amazing how both the forum and the community around a show about ponies has kept going and will continue to do so.

Best Show, best forum, duh! I wouldn't know how life would be without both, but I doubt it would be in anyway better. I met many people, even if I'm not as active as in my first years 14/15, but probavbly the most important thing I got is my best friend @BastementSparkle. Unfortunalty, from today on he might have no internet till unknown, so kinda sad. I probably can go as far to say he's my longest friend and we didn't even met in person...you know, big, giant ocean and all in the way. And while theres always the chance, this certainly feels like the nicest and kindest forum I am in so far and hope G5 and this forum stay good, strong and awesome!

Nine and ten years respectively. Wow... It makes me feel older knowing how long it's been. Granted, I've only been around here for four of those nine years and seven for Friendship is Magic (I experienced the entire duration of Equestria Girls minus those initial months so once again EQG proves to be my preference) yet it feels like it's been longer. I don't have much else to say without going into personal matters aside from this... I've got my own celebration to work on... And it's not related to this.

Hmmm... What could I be up to? No one knows... Not even me.
