If you mean Buffy, it always says Buffy gave the badge, but the actual user knows only said user.

Same here. I usually don't initiate conversations. There are exceptions though, like when I just must talk about something because of a common interest, or because I can see a hidden potential in someones work, and want to give some boot in their confidence. There are so many of you that have so much to give! It's amazing!
